Academic

Occasionally students have difficulties whilst on their course. These may be related to the actual academic programme or may be connected with individuals.

If you need advice on academic issues including any of the following examples please contact the Student Advice Team who will be available to help you try and resolve the issues as quickly as possible:

  • change of course
  • academic appeals against grades/results
  • problems with supervisors
  • complaints
  • general concerns
  • failing exams or classes?
  • feeling overwhelmed?
  • having trouble studying?
  • thinking about leaving?
  • lack of motivation?
  • time management problems?
  • working long hours to support study?

These are not uncommon problems for students.  Sometimes there can be an easy or quick solution to help you get back on track.   Just because you may be experiencing some difficulties, it does not mean you are not capable of completing your course.  It is important however to discuss these issues early before your course suffers.
